Fall into the Crimson

image

The Crimson leaves
Beckon us invitingly,
Seducing us
With their lush splendor,
As though creating
The perfect ambiance
For an autumn rendezvous.

Secretly they tease us
Knowing we can’t resist!
How coy those naughty leaves,
They seem to know us better
Than we know ourselves.

It would be rude
To disappointment them
After they’ve gone
To so much trouble!
So, let’s revel in
The beauty and bounty
Of this magical moment,
Let’s Fall into the Crimson

This post was inspired by a writing challenge to use the word ‘Crimson’ and ‘Fall’ in the title of my poem.
