A father can do
For his daughter
Is to love her mother

  1. I agree but a daughter also needs to know a dad will be there for her, especially with an abusive, controlling mom. Relationships are too complex for simple sayings, no matter how true. The saying is a good example of respect for women. J

    1. I agree. However, I don’t think anyone expects one saying to govern a person’s entire life! It’s just one saying of many which we need to compile into our mode of operation to make our families better. Thanks for your kind feedback 😊

      2. You’re welcome.
I encourage feedback because it gives me a way to form authentic connections with our readers. I also want this to be a space for mutual respect not a Facebook-like environment where people are attacked for expressing their views. ☺

      3. Forgive my comment… your post hit a raw nerve yesterday. I probably should have simply moved on after reading it. Deeply sorry for being rash. All the best… Enjoy your blog. J

      4. No worries. We all have our triggers. Life isn’t perfect. All we can do is pick up the pieces and move on.

My daughter is growing up without her dad and it pains me to see her drawing pictures of a dad she would like to have — a new dad who is nice to her mom. The wisdom of children….
