Fruits of the spirit

Daily Devotion:

Galatians: 5.

22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Music is Oxygen

A little bit of Julio

Hi guys!
Hope you’re having a great day.
I played a song by Enrique Iglesias yesterday which was super fun. But every time I ‘love me some Enrique’, fans of his dad Julio compare the two.

For me they are both ‘to die for’ so I won’t ever compare Enrique to his papa because I think he’s doing a great job making his own name.

So for all you Julio Iglesias fans, this one’s for you. Enjoy! ūüĆ∑

Poetry, Short Stories

Furrowed brow;
Jaw clenched;
Mind racing;
Replaying the day.

Rules don’t make sense;
In charge in title only;
Chaos in every room;
Many have one foot out the door.

Words said in frustration;
Challenged authority;
Changes necessary;
But my whom!

Feeling stuck;
Ready for something better;
Need balance, need peace;
Ready for growth.

Locked away…

A frozen heart
Afraid to feel
Scarred by past hurt
Hides in the depths of darkness.

Safely protected,
The heart does not realize
That the cave of comfort
Can also become a tomb of death.

Void of light,
Void of stimulation,
Void of love,
The heart withers slowly.

Locking ourselves away
In hopes of preventing hurt,
Also means,
Locking ourselves away
From the possibility of finding love.

In the moment

I picked her up,
cradled her in my arms,
then kissed her forehead.

She giggled with delight
then snuggled into me
as she looked into my eyes.

why are you holding me
like a baby?

Well, I just missed you today
and wanted to tell you
how much I love you.

I love you too, mama.
Can I have more kisses?
