I admire your resilience.
I admire your courage.
You used the trauma of your past
To redefine your present.

I admire your thirst for knowledge.
I admire your visions of the future.
You are always striving to become
A well-rounded, yet grounded person.

I admire your loving heart.
I admire your passionate soul.
Your ability to dig deep and challenge yourself
Is inspiring on so many levels.

I admire your sense of humor.
I admire your self-confidence.
You are a unique gem to be cherished,
Perfect in every way, shining like a star.

Indifference cuts deep

It hurts to know
That in her darkest hour
No one thought to ask
If she was ok.

It hurts to know
That in her darkest hour
Her words  were just
For their entertainment.

It hurts to know
That in her darkest hour
Their indifference proved
Her loneliness was real.

Music is Oxygen, Poetry

The space in between

In between sleep and wake
I find a place that’s strangely familiar.
I dream of real life
While real life feels like a dream.
Is this my reality
Or am I dreaming?
