Indifference cuts deep

image

It hurts to know
That in her darkest hour
No one thought to ask
If she was ok.

It hurts to know
That in her darkest hour
Her words  were just
For their entertainment.

It hurts to know
That in her darkest hour
Their indifference proved
Her loneliness was real.

  1. Loneliness is… The coldest feeling ever. Am I spotting a theme here? I remember discussing love and loneliness with you. I really hope you’re not feeling lonely.

    1. Trying to stay busy so my mind doesn’t have time to ponder things that make me sad. But that’s only a temporary fix — a bandaid of sorts. I need a more permanent solution.

      Thanks so much for caring!
      You are appreciated. ☺ 🌷

      1. I’m okay, how kind of you to ask!
Still waiting to hear about the funeral of a friend, I think I will feel less unsettled once I hear when it is. It’s kind of put a hold on the writing I wanted to do, I just can’t quite formulate what I wanted. But we’ll see, I might come back to it later.
Hope your day’s been going okay?

      2. Sorry things are a bit off for you.
        I’m a ‘hugger’. I’d give you a big hug now if I could. ☺

My condolences. I hope you find some relief soon.
