Remnants of winter

Remnants of Winter

Still in the air

The calendar says Spring,

But you are not playing fair.

Not moving over,

So the others could have a turn,

We received 6 inches of snow!

Why won’t you let go?

This utter self-centeredness

Has got to stop

Is there something we’re missing?

Let’s have a little talk…

Let’s explore what’s causing you

To act this way

Then perhaps we can solve

What troubles you today!

This attention you crave

Is more than we can give

What’s really going on Winter?

Speak, we’re listening…

Please excuse the rant today! Just needed to get that off my chest so I can move on to happier thoughts. Sigh…

  1. Rant away! This made me smile. Right now, Kansas is doing good, but I never say never. We have had it in May! Prayers for a melt off and pretty weather to come your way! 🙂

    1. Thanks for allowing me a moment to have a bit of a tantrum! ^_^ Tried to be good all winter, didn’t complain much, but now I just feel like a toddler who knows not what to do but lay in the middle of the floor and cry… Arms and feet flailing all over the place. Imagine the spectacle! Hahaha

    1. Yes, I’m ready for some color. Ready for a new spring coat! Time to shed the heavy winter wool. Hmm, I’m suddenly in the mood for jellybeans! ^_^
