A journey into my past…

If you could travel back in time, what would you tell your younger self?

I’ve pondered that question many times over the years, and I always come back to the one thing I regret — not believing in myself when I was a young mother. I let the voices of my elders lead me down a path that I now know was the wrong one for me, and if I had the chance to do it all again, that’s the only thing I’d change. It’s true that our experiences shape us. Our characters are formed through our trials, errors and victories. I know also, that my one regret has imprinted my being and it now shapes my perspective on life and parenting.

So, if I could talk to my younger self, I’d tell her to be brave, to have faith in herself, to trust her instincts, to keep close to God and watch Him work wonders in her life. And, without saying anything else, I’d just hug her for I know it’s one of the things she never got enough of.

What would you tell your younger self if you had the chance?

  1. Who knows? If you would have been closer to God when you were young, you could be a nun by now. Like you better this way😊

Could have, should have, would have – who cares! What you are now matters the most.

  2. I think the wonderful thing about life is that we learn so much. That you are wiser now than you were is a great thing, a realisation of your true potential. It’s great too that we can pass these things on.
What would I have told my younger self? Maybe it’s all going to turn out fine (for those freak out moments! lol!
