Red Land 7

Red Land 7

***

She traveled
a path of faith.
And though her steps
weren’t always perfect,
she pressed on,
for she was blessed!
She chose to see beauty.
She chose to be thankful.
She followed her destiny
to the place she called
‘Red Land’.

Building Bridges…

image

The bridges we build
Can lead us to places unknown.
Friendships that become
more than just a passing glance
can start with just a simple smile.

A polite “Hello” or “How are you? ”
can lead to a mutual understanding.
Things we have in common
are what binds us together
and makes us feel like we belong.
No one wants to feel alone.
We are all pieces of a large puzzle,
each of us having a unique purpose.

The bridges we build
need not be traveled alone,
for we can all use a hand to hold.
But if a bit of solitude is necessary,
please don’t break those bridges down
after you’ve crossed,
for others may want to follow
in your footsteps.

Be proud of your journey,
and remember to be present
in all the moments of your life.
May the bridges you cross
lead you to your destiny.
May your life story
keep traveling
long after you’ve passed on
from this world,
continuing to build bridges
as did you.

Short Stories

I have not failed…

Hello lovely people!
Hope you are all well.

There are days when I look back at my life and wonder what I’ve accomplished, wishing I had more haughty accolades to show for my 42 years on this planet.

Then I stumble on the image below, which I purposely saved a long time ago, for moments like these. It reminds me that my life has meaning — that my existence, though plagued with trials, is still part of a more grand design. There’s a reason I’m on this earth and I need to fulfill my purpose. So I press on with renewed vigor, onward and upward to my destiny!

Perhaps the following image will offer you some renewed perspective too. Hope you’re all having a lovely day. Enjoy! 🌷

Does honor still exist?

I get teary-eyed whenever I hear this song because I’ve never had anyone fight for my honor. Been taken for granted too many times to count, and each time it happens I vow to be more independent with less expectations (or none at all). For the most part that works well as it helps me avoid heartbreak, but as I get older I find that independence, though great, can be quite lonely.

I don’t know how to love with half my heart. Perhaps my love is too much for just one person. Perhaps my purpose is to show as much love as I can to as many that need it. That’s easy, really, it’s who I am, but at the end of the day the question still remains, will there ever be anyone to give me the love I need? I give of myself and it is taken but not reciprocated. Perhaps being alone is my destiny…

I hope the following song has a different meaning for you — Ladies, I hope you’ve found your hero willing to fight for your honor. Guys,  I hope you have a special lady who is worth the fight. Enjoy 🌷
