Can’t get enough of you…

image

Your lips are moving
But I’m the only one
who can hear you.
See, you’re a memory
Floating around inside my head.

Your voice registers
Deep within my soul
As the video of you
Replays in a continuous loop.

I’m holding on
To the memory of you
As tight as I can
Because I simply can’t get
Enough of the song
you create within me.

On Cloud Nine

You make me smile
You make me sing
You make me dance
You make me happy
You make me fly
I’m on cloud nine!

You are not invisible…

image

You inspire me
To strive harder —
To realize my dreams —
To reach for the stars!

It’s been a while
Since anyone has done
That for me.

I feel blessed to know you
And look forward
To learning more
Of who you are.

I see you —
You are not invisible to me.
I don’t want to ever lose sight
Of our dynamic energy.

You complete me
In ways I never imagined,
That’s why I can’t help it —
I just love you and your beautiful soul.

The Mister…

image

He called to me from across the room.
I was busy — lost in another world.
He needed my attention —
He needed my affection.

With a gurgle and a few sputters,
He interrupted my state of distraction,
Sending alluring aromas in my direction.
He knew I wouldn’t be able to resist.

Instantly,  I returned to our world.
Gliding over to him as though entranced,
I poured him into my cup.
He was pleased to see me, but yet he pouted.

Disappointed, he often wonders
Why I can’t handle him minus additives.
He wants to be my everything —
The only one to satisfy me.

But in fact he should be flattered
He’s more than I can handle.
I desire him, I crave him,
But small doses of him work best.

I savor his essence
As he flows through my veins.
We are one now,  he is special to me,
I strive to let him know this,  every day.

Coffee,  I love you! ☺

Soulmates

image

They shared a moment
That is imprinted on her heart forever.
He shared himself with her
In a way like no other,
And for this her heart filled
With immense respect and joy
For she has never known a love like this
She had found her soulmate…

Poetry, Short Stories

Dear you, From Me.

image

Dear you,

You’ve opened up a part of me
That has been closed for a while.
You’re showing me things
I haven’t seen in ages —
Things I thought I’d rather not see anymore,
But now I find pleasure in them again
And it’s a wonderful feeling,
Thanks to you.

The images of the future
I see through your eyes
Are not what I envisioned on my own.
My visions were distorted by past hurt,
But with you there’s a thrill of anticipation
As we look towards a glorious, new horizon.
You’ve renewed my hope in finding ‘true’ love
And incase you didn’t know, you complete me.

I wake up thankful everyday knowing
That had we met 20 yrs ago
We might not have been
Right for each other as we are now.
We needed to face our own trials;
We needed to endure our own pain;
We needed to be refined and made ready;
We needed time to blossom.

As I find new things
To love about you each day,
I hope the expressions gratitude
That flow from my soul
Make their way to yours.

I love you more
Than I thought I ever could,
And will try in earnest
To show you often
Just how special you are to me.

I’m happy again because of you…

Sincerely,
Me.
